I didn't really know that those friends of ours lived off of mesquite! Makes sense, though. Surely they nibble on other grasses and sprouts here and there providing the rains are adequate and stuff grows for them? I bet you know... ;) Long live donkeys!

I've seen them graze in natural grassy areas and the lawns across the road:-)
